Unknown Screeching Noises At Pachaug Connecticut (Sasquatch/Bigfoot ?)

My friend and I have been hunters for a while and we have heard similar screeching noises. We live in Connecticut as well. We live around the Pachaug area and have heard some noises that do not sound like animals native to Connecticut (coyotes, turkeys, deer, foxes, etc.).

Large Hairy Man Like Creature Frightens Witness At Salem Indiana (Sasquatch/Bigfoot Sighting)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was in my outdoor hot tub on a cold February night, when all of a sudden I smelled this disgusting, foul odor that smelled like a cross between eggs and rotted flesh.

I sat there for a few moments, wondering just what could be causing such a smell, when suddenly I heard a great crashing in the small strip of woods in the field across from my house.

I held my breath, too scared to talk when I saw a the faint outline of what appeared to be a hairy man, around 7-8 feet tall, in the light of my upper porch light.

Scared to death by now, I waited for the creature to pass into the woods on the backside of my house, then I quickly jumped up and ran inside.

Sasquatch Family And Black Creatures Spotted From My Apartment In North Surrey British Columbia

On January 1, 2004 about noon, the weather was clear and cold with a blanket of snow covering the whole area. I was living in a 17th. fl. apt. in N. Surrey. I am partially disabled, so don't go out much. To amuse myself if the weather was clear, I would watch the skiers over on the North shore mountains through high powered binoculars.

I was doing this January 1, but got bored and decided to see if I could see any animals on the mountain sides. On the mountain across from Port Moody, near the Hydro substation I noticed about half a dozen people apparently snowboarding in a large clearing, found out later it was the west end of the Westwood Plateau Golf Course.

To their left, almost directly under the high voltage power lines, is a small clump of trees next to a hill. On the north side of the trees I saw what appeared to be a large black stump. As I watched the people finished one run and started back up the hill, they apparently decided to go higher and started to veer over towards the clump of trees.

Suddenly the black stump separated into two huge humanoids, they appeared to stare momentarily at the people, then turned and moved off to the NNW into the trees on the north side of the clearing. They appeared to be about four times the size of the people, estimated 8 to 10 feet in height.

I observed the people find the tracks and stand there for a few minutes apparently discussing the situation, the people then left back down the hill. The next day I was watching the clearing from daybreak in hopes of seeing something else. At approximately 10:00 a.m., I observed a very tall shaggy humanoid walk across the south side of the course and go into the small clump of trees. This individual appeared to be twice the height of the black creatures, perhaps 14 to 16 feet tall.

About half the height of the deciduous trees growing in the area. It had auburn, coloured hair approximately six inches long covering it’s body, looked very slender compared to the black guys. Like looking at the Wookie from Star Wars only far taller. Fog rolled in and for about a hour I couldn't see. The fog lifted just in time for me to see it leave the clump and head NNE across the clearing.

I reported every thing I was seeing to the late Graham Conway, I was hoping he might get it checked out as I could plainly see the trails they were making, snow was two or three feet deep when I first saw them. Graham told me later he hadn’t believed me, as he figured they were to close to the houses. I finally managed to get film for my camera and he was quite surprised to see the course was right up against the forest.

By then the snow had all melted. I continued to monitor the area until the first week in February. Last sighting was one of the black creatures walking east beside a sand trap on the south side of the course. During the five or so weeks I observed the area I saw a number of Deer, several Bears, the bears went into the clump of trees and within minutes came running back out.

Same thing, a number of dogs did, ran in apparently playing, ran out with tails between their legs. Towards the end of January I saw one of the black creatures walk across another section of the course and go into the trees, that afternoon I saw about half a dozen golfers show up with their carts. I watched them drive to where the black creature had been earlier, they stopped and got out and appeared to be looking at tracks, they left their carts and followed the same path across the course and into the trees.

They had no sooner gone from sight when I saw a large animal ran from the trees on the north side of the course. It appeared to be an Elk or antlerless Moose and it appeared to be fleeing from something and ran east down one of the cart paths. I glanced back at the trees just in time to see the large auburn haired creature standing there looking across the course to where I'd last seen the golfers.

It stared for about 30 seconds, walked about 20 feet then went back under the trees, I could still see him hiding there, seconds later what appeared to be his wife and son copied his movements, the female? appeared about a foot shorter than the male and what I presumed to be their son was about a foot shorter than her.

I was watching through my spotting scope when I saw them and could clearly see their ling shaggy hair. The black ones looked just like the creature from the Roger Patterson film. The beginning of March 2004, I drove to the area with my wife, she waited at the car while I attempted to walk in. I wanted to go into the clump of trees and see if there was any evidence, turned out it was farther than I thought maybe several hundred yards, ground was very uneven and sloped, I got about a hundred feet and chickened out, I took a photo and it turned out to have about the same perspective as I was getting through my binoculars only much clearer.

Their appears to be a large stump within that clump of trees so maybe the animals are hiding there. One thing that kind of creeped me out was that it was a dead zone, no noise, no birds, no wind and the feeling I was being watched. Had the same feeling up in the mountains near Port Alberni years ago and found Cougar tracks and when I retraced my foot steps.

Anyway I didn't care for the sensation and since I could barely walk retreated as quick as possible, that feeling lifted as soon as I got back on the road and safely in my car. I was keeping a running diary as to what, when and were I was seeing things but sent it all to Graham, also reported to BFRO bigfoot reports, they sent me a file number and that was that.

One thing I noticed when the tall Auburn haired guys were watching the people, they looked like they would be as tall as four golf carts piled on each other.

Two Sasquatch Sightings In The Fraser Valley British Columbia

Good day, I read your entry on the Sasquatch Blog and it is very interesting. I am a firm believer in Sasquatch. I am from an Aboriginal Community in the Fraser Valley. I don’t know what you know or have been told by Sasquatch, but I know a bit about them.

Males are generally large and very muscly. I was coming back from my girlfriends house one night, and just before dark I was driving past one of my cousins house. I turned to look because something caught my eye, I seen a sasquatch probably about 7+ feet tall, it had long rough looking hair, thick tree trunk legs, massive torso and long fingernails.

I stopped my car to look, it turned around and took about 3 steps and was already deep in the bush.

Females are different. They usually have lighter, finer hair then the males. A couple weeks after the sighting of the male, I left my house to drop off some garbage at night, I was gone no more then 10 minutes and on my way home, I was pulling into my driveway and seen a female sasquatch.

As I pulled into the driveway, my lights flashed on her and she was very tall and more slender compared to the male I seen prior. She was crouched down and looking into my house through the window. She snapped around and looked at me, I stopped the car and she ran across the yard, across the Lougheed Hwy and over the dike through the slough.

The more you come to believe in Sasquatch, the more it seems they will show themselves to you. In our culture, we are told they are transformers/shape-shifters, which is why no one has ever been able to catch one. They are vegetarians, but do eat fish on occasion. You know when they are close because often they have a very foul odor, and they make a very loud cry sound that usually makes your hair stand up.

Possible Sasquatch Sighting At Campbell River British Columbia

Hi Brian, my name (name removed) and I’m in Campbell River, British Columbia and a friend has lead me to your website. Two years ago we were camping just north of Campbell River and I witnessed what seemed to be a figure about 5 ‘10 to 6 foot in height. I stared for about 5 minutes before I noticed it wasn’t moving.

Then just before I gave up and assumed it was a tree or my imagination. It stood straight up and walked to the left and through the heavy brush. I was so scared, I raced back to the campsite and told everyone what I had seen. The guys in the camp walked the whole site and couldn’t find a thing.

I have so many questions and have seen many more things in the last 2 years after really opening my eyes to this.

Bigfoot Roaming Lummi Indian Reservation In Bellingham Washington

Hello Brian, I am not really sure of who to contact, but I hope that you might be the person that can help me. I live on the Lummi Indian Reservation in Bellingham Washington. My husband and myself live on my grandfather land for about 12 years now.

Our encounter with bigfoot when we first moved in our new home was 12 years ago. I had not seen or heard of bigfoot in my life, until we moved on my grandfather land. I am very upset because no one will investigate this stranger. It makes it self known almost every other day. If you can contact me it would be greatly appreciated.

So far there are three in this small community which I have heard on several occasions. Today while I was outside, I heard noise in the woods, soon after an eagle started making noises as well. Then out of no where, I seen Bigfoot come out of woods. It has taken me by surprise and I screamed and ran back into the house.

My husband asked me not to bother Bigfoot and leave them along. I get scared because I am alone most of the time. Please Help.

Breaking News - Sasquatch Frighten Two Hunters Between Prince Rupert And Terrace British Columbia

Time: From early morning to later in the day.

Yesterday, October 5, 2010 I received an email from a lady who was passing along a short note to me. She did so, due to a fellow not having a computer and not having any computer experience. I replied to the email message with my phone number as a man wanted to talk to me over what happened to he and his friends while out hunting on October 4, 2010.

Today, October 6, 2010 I received a telephone call from one of the hunters who still sounded visibly upset over what took place. The men were followed by "two sasquatch" over the course of the day. They may not have known earlier on, but they soon found out later in the day what was following/stalking them. They came face to fact with two Sasquatch.

The fellows are going to postal mail photo/photos of the tracks which they took pictures of later. There is something else that will be coming in the package, but I will hold off and see what the fellows say over this.

Breaking News - Sasquatch Or Something Else In Moricetown, British Columbia

I took a telephone call today, late afternoon from a resident of Moricetown British Columbia. From the little I know, tracks were found in the ground and leading off into tall grass. The strange thing about this is, each track appears or is burnt into the ground. Sound strange, well it is.

I am heading for Moricetown tomorrow Friday September 24, 2010 to investigate the tracks. Pictures will be taken besides everything else I will do on location. So once again, we have a very strange case in Moricetown British Columbia. A full report and photos will be posted after I return and can write up a report on this case.

Night Of The Sasquatch Or Alien Beings Ontario Canada (Interview)

Date of experience: August 15, 2005 at 11.00 p.m.

I remember that night well. My dear friend Barry had just passed away the previous afternoon and the next night I made a fire in my Tipi for him. I took down my Medicine Bundle and my drum, as I sung his Spirit a song. I missed Barry so much already, it was a nice bright star lit night, the fire was comforting and I felt Barry was there too. Then I heard a grunt and another grunt, then something brushed the skin of my Tipi.

I looked out across the pond that looked upon my house, I didn’t see anything, then another loud snort grunt and now the Tipi skin shook. My first thought was, it was a bear. So I put more wood on the fire and put some long sticks in, to get them on fire so I could go out with a burning torch. I sat still for some time and heard nothing. "Good I thought, the bear was gone". I gathered up my things and got ready to leave.

I was not 10 feet from my Tipi when I heard a noise, I turned toward the Miskwaaziibi (Red River) - the river ran behind the Tipi and there on the river bank, in the moon light I could make out the shadows of 4-5 "beings", some stood 7-8 feet tall, or taller and others were shorter. Then I noticed the eyes, "they were reflective/like an animals eyes in the lights", some were red, some green, some yellow. I knew this was not a bear family, yet similar to standing bear/man. The fur on them was very long and shaggy, and the shoulders were sloped, some had long arms other stocky.

I then went back to my Tipi as it was closer than my home. I left all my things there, I just took my drum and my bundle. I decided I would drum my way up and I thought making a noise would scare them off. I got out and glanced over and they were still all there, only they had moved down some on the river bank, toward the big swamp. I made my way to the house, my heart just racing. I could still see some of them by the river. I went inside to tell the others of my encounter, but.

When I got to my back door, the first one to greet me was my daughter. "Mom, you better get in here, something is going on!" She seemed very frightened and very serious. My sons were also in quite a state and my little guy, Matty was crying. "There is black things all through the house". Yeah Robert said, "these black things are all over and they are really fast". I immediately lit my sage and purified the house, instant calm was back. The kids were really shook up and now I really wondered. What was the connection with the shaggy creatures, or where they there to tell me something was wrong in my house? This was so much to handle.

They did get my attention, so then I ventured up to the garage where my partner Mel was looking out the windows. As soon as I got to the garage, he spoke really excited, so much I had to calm him by yelling back! All he could say for some time was, "what were you doing in the Tipi". He seemed very frightened and was searching for answers, as was I. "All these black things have been around", "shadows, you know, very quick " and I felt his fear.

Well I was getting really tired and so overwhelmed again. We decided to light some sweetgrass and Mel went through the garage with it. I just wanted to tell someone what I had seen and then the kids were so upset, black things. I just felt I needed to get away to collect my thoughts.

So I stood out in the middle of our gravel country road (Edwina Dr.) it was around 11.00 pm by now and no one was on the road. Yet if a truck had come at this point, I would not have moved as when I was looking up into the heavens and praying for answers. I called Mel as I noticed 3 stars moving at the same pace. The other stars in the sky were not. The formation then inverted itself, but kept on moving in the same southern direction as if to get my attention. Then the 3 stars shone orange/yellow lights and it became very clear and I realized I was looking at a massive, I mean massive flat blue/black ship.

I felt I was looking under the great hull of a ship. It was majestic as it went very slowly (like a blimp, it just puttered along ) and disappeared over the tree line. Now I knew what we saw, but just how do you explain this. Seeing this, to me was much like a trauma and it has taken along time to write this (3 years, I am just talking of this now) and I will say, this was a trauma to see all this. Did I see the Sasquatch, and if I did, I do think that the Sasquatch is much like the hairy thing out of Star Wars, or Harry and the Hendersons. It really does look like a walking bear/man. I really think this is why all these sightings, foot prints, hair, but never a body or any evidence.

I know what it is to see such a thing and have no proof. The next day I went around my Tipi and nothing, yet they were there. I had heard them and felt them brush my Tipi and saw their eyes. I do believe the craft is a connection and is to me obvious. They are some sort of travelers and have a ride home or is this home? As for the black things flying through my home and garage. I have no idea, maybe some sort of energy that is very quick, but thank goodness for the sage and sweetgrass!

That night my little one’s slept well, I still had not told anyone the full story of my experience and would not for some time. This is another experience I will never forget, never.

Since this encounter, I have been contacted by a Dr. Boylan PHD, hoping to meet with him this year and a man who wrote a great book. "The Psychic Sasquatch", by Jack "Kewaunee" Lapseritis M.S., he called me from Duvall Washington to view my surrounding property (both have studied the Sasquatch for over 40 years) as well I was just interviewed on a radio show, by Producer Tom Biscardi of www.bigfootlive.com. A while ago I was called to facilitate at a conference up in Northern Canada. There I met a wonderful man (LeadingEarthMan) Dave Courchene Jr. said the Sasquatch represent honesty ~ to be honest with yourself, is to live in the spirit of how you were created. Possible Sasquatch/Bigfoot Tracks Found In South Central Maine ?

Hello! I'm in south central Maine. I was walking through a field today (where no one walks) and found an odd trail. It looks just like the Sasquatch trails you see in other people's pictures. It is snowy, so the tracks remain (we haven't had snowfall for several weeks, so no telling how recent they are).

I also found fairly fresh poo, which looked like human poo, except was full of fibrous material and seeds. It didn't look like it came from a meat-eater and saw no sign of purified meat. Parts of it even had a reddish tone, as though some type of tree fruit was consumed. There was also some fuzzy hairs in it, but not throughout it. My guess is that it was hair from the creature who pooped there, or from a young that the adult bathed.

Should I go back and get the poo in a bag and send it for lab tests to determine where/what it came from? I would also take pictures (actually, didn't even think to snap some with my cell phone while out there today!). Can't imagine what else could make those prints. The footprints are about 5 feet apart, but are from a single foot, not like an animal running where several paws would land close to each other. It was pretty cool to see this. I even walked around and kept my eye out in the woods. They are not harmful beings, it would be kind of cool to see one. Will look forward to hearing back from you.

Sasquatch Tracks Filmed At Prince George In Northern British Columbia (Pictures) ?

Hello, the attached picture is of a something, my son found on our walk yesterday. I would be interested to know what your thoughts on it are. The ruler shown is 6 inches in length.

Additional Information and Pictures:

Hi Brian, thank you for responding. As for the tracks, there were more than one as you can sort of see in the additional pictures I have attached which lead across a BLVD. The area is a frequent walkway for animals and people. It's not far from the Fraser River, off one of the trails that connect some of the parks. There are a few houses across the street and a wooded hill that leads down into an industrial area, though it's not overly busy.

Mostly junk yards and old warehouses. The boulevard is lined with berry trees which is why the neighborhood has to go out in the Fall to pick them. Bears are common in the Fall. But I've never seen a bear print that big, especially in the winter. In one of the pictures you'll see my boot print right next to the other print.

The road ends in a turn around, so there is only local traffic and only five houses close by.

There was not alot of foot traffic in this spot since we had some warm weather last week and the roads and sidewalks are sheer ice. My son found the first track by jumping in it and then asking me what made the hole ?

At first I thought the snow melted funny, but then I saw the trail of tracks leading to the bushes. It's hard to see the distance between them, but I tried and nearly did the splits to reach the next one. I don't know what to make of them. Thanks again.

Sorry to bug you again, but I went back and took some more photos after lunch today (January 22, 2010)

I live in Prince George, not too far from you if you are in Houston. The tape measure from black edge to black edge was around 42 inches, though it was a soft tape measure over bumpy ground. If you find anything else, please let me know. I love puzzles and this one has me stumped.

Sasquatch Observed Twice At Smithers, British Columbia

A V Factor's Note: It certainly appears that Sasquatch is showing itself more in the Pacific Northwest here in British Columbia. Also couldn't ask for a better place for it to show up, as the sightings are in my area. This of course allows myself to head to these areas for further investigation. Besides this sighting, there was another person who reported finding Sasquatch tracks in the Telkwa, B.C. area in 2008, Telkwa is only a ten minute drive to Smithers. Also, just recently (2009) there was another sighting of the Sasquatch in Moricetown, B.C., this is where I drove to and investigated good tracks of the creature, I also filmed the tracks as well. I will be replying to the person for the report below to see if any other details can be gathered.

Hi Brian, I heard about you doing your research up here last year and earlier this year. I just decided to report my sighting to you that happened in August of 2008. First of all my name is (full name removed by Brian Vike), I'm 17 years old and I live in Smithers, British Columbia. I was with two friends when the incident occurred, and I was the only one of us three to have seen the creature. (my friends did hear the sounds in the bushes though)

We were in a small forested area besides the BV hospital and across from my house talking when we all heard the sound of branches snapping in an otherwise quiet night. I turned my attention to this while my friends kept talking and I began to look through the forest to see if it was a moose, or some sort of animal.

What I saw next astonished me, and always will. I saw the outline of a 8 to 9 foot tall bipedal animal with an outstretched arm on a tree standing twenty yards away staring at me, now it was summer so the forest was grown in immensely, so I couldn't see much detail, but I could still see the outline of the massive creature. I stared at it for about 3 seconds before calling my friends over. Once I did this, the creature turned and walked through the forest and onto the road. Once I saw this, I realized that I actually saw something standing there, so I turned and ran the opposite direction and my friends did the exact same.

The next day we went back into the forest and we found many freshly made trails going through the forest, including one exactly where I said I saw the creature and the direction it went. There were also scratches on trees and many large tree branches broken. There was also a tree that was ripped partially up out of the ground. I walk through the forest at least once a day in the summer and I have never seen any of these branches or trees broken before this night.

Two nights later, one of my friends and myself were in the field across from the forest and it was an extremely foggy night. We couldn't see fifteen feet in front of us. We were sitting in the field talking when all of a sudden we heard what sounded like a huge animal crashing through the forest, which I saw the animal in before. This sound continued for five minutes, the next day we went in there and once again found huge tree branches snapped in half and even some large logs broken.

Sasquatch Tracks Found At Chilliwack By The Lake

Sighting took place on the July 25, 2009 weekend.

Hi there, I have read some of your notes and find them very interesting, especially now. A few of my friends just came back from Chilliwack by the lake and had spotted what appears to be the footprints of Sasquatch, as well as having quite a trying time all night. Apparently there were approximately 4 of them, they were loud (making rustling noises and walking through the campsite) and at one point, when trying to get outside, one brushed across one of them that were still in the tent.

This is amazing to me and although the picture is not very clear and I was not there myself in person. My friend does have a couple pictures on his cell-phone of the footprint. Also something else strange happened and they are thinking that maybe it was this animal, as it was that all over the campsite. (where there was nobody else) They kept finding sticks piled up in kind of like a hut or teepee and they weren't there when they got there and there was a huge bolder placed near the tent this morning.What could that mean?

Cree Lake, Saskatchewan Sasquatch/Bigfoot Tracks

I took a telephone call from a gentleman who had been to his cabin in the Cree Lake, Saskatchewan area. It was on May 10, 2009 that he came across human like footprints which measured 18 inches in length and approximately 8 inches in width. Pictures were taken and the fellow said he would get the photos to me over the next few days.

British Columbia Sasquatch Tracks In The Snow/Hair Sample Results

On March 11, 2009 Brian Vike Director of HBCC UFO Research posted a "report" on tracks/large footprints that were found in Moricetown, British Columbia by Melvina Nazeil. I ran out to the area, met Melvina and was shown the tracks in the snow. For me, there was no doubt in my mind that something large and unusual traveled through her Mother's property. Photos were taken, also a hair and blood sample collected from the scene.

Thank you to Barb Campbell, (UAD Research) the hair sample results are in. Barb did up a good report on her findings which identified the hair belonging to a Moose. I did mention this in my written report, that maybe the hair came from a Moose, but still I had no fact to say this was so and this had to be checked out in case it did turn out to be a hair from something else.

As for the blood sample, seeing the hair was found in one track along with the droplets of blood, we decided to hold off in having the blood analyzed. Mainly due to the costs and the area blood was found in. I guess if I personally had strong feelings about the blood possibly coming from something else, one might go ahead with testing, but seeing evidence is pointing towards a Moose, at least with regards to the hair sample, so pressing on with an expensive venture to have the blood tested, not going to happen at this time.

No matter what, there has been no explanation for what made all the large tracks/footprints in the snow.

British Columbia Sasquatch Tracks In The Snow/Blood Sample (Pictures)

A little history about Moricetown and it's kind people. Wet'suwet'en First Nation community is located north of the village of Smithers is called Moricetown, B.C. The Wet'suwet'en people (kyah wiget) is one of five native communities living near or on Hwy 16. The valley around Moricetown Canyon was once a traditional fishing ground visited by five clans of the area.

Fishing the Bulkley River was a big part of the Wet'suwet'en First Nation way of living. The clans would first meet in Telkwa in the spring, mainly to visit and celebrate their heritage. Then later the 13 houses would pack up the village and proceed to Moricetown for their summer fishing season.

Using gaff poles (spruce tree pole with a steel hook and bound by rope) the First Nation fisherman would wait patiently perched high above the river standing on exposed river boulders waiting to strike and hook the fish as they swim by underneath. Today, the First Nation still fish the river but use deep nets mostly.

In Moricetown, during the summer, the Wet'suwet'en First Nation people would erect smokehouses, drying racks and fish traps. The men would set out to catch fish while the women would hike up the mountain to collect herbs and medicines. After returning the women would start to preserve the catch. In the fall, after catching fish the focus of the hunt would shift to mountain goats, ptarmigan and caribou.

Once sufficient preparation was completed, the Wet'suwet'en people would hold various feasts celebrating the harvest. The general meeting of all the people was an opportunity for the chiefs to deal with clan business and for trading goods among houses.

The feasts would last for days and would be celebrated by many houses. Many feasts later the clans would start to return to their villages in preparation for winter - each clan's departure date depending on the length of the journey back to their village.

Once home the clan would work on their longhouses, stacking firewood, and finishing repairs so to securely store their food on stilts inside. During the winter the elders and their wives would prepare for next seasons hunt and children would learn about hunting while maintaining the longhouses.

Moricetown is located 30 km west of Smithers and 31 km east of Hazelton, BC on the main highway of the region known as Highway 16. Follow the signs. Cannot miss the community.

It was just another early morning in Houston, B.C. I got up and turned on the computer and we went to feed the deer which were waiting as they do most mornings. I came back in, checked my computer and there I found a few UFO sighting reports which I still have to work on, but it was a telephone call that came in that grabbed my attention. A lady by the name of Melvina was so excited to tell me what had taken place in Moricetown behind her mother's home on March 8, 2009 after dark.

On Monday evening Melvina's mother heard an awful racket/strange and loud noise coming from the back of her property. It certainly did frighten her as the sound was so very unusual and the dogs certainly were going wild over what was happening. She contacted her daughter and Melvina came down the next day to look into what took. She put on a set of snow shoes and headed out into the forest. In the open areas, (not under any trees) the snow would have been approximately a foot and a half in depth. Under the trees the snow pack was only inches deep.

As Melvina made her way over the snow and under the low hanging spruce branches she glanced ahead of her to see tracks in the snow. Even from a short distance away the tracks appeared to be unusually large. Soon she was shocked to find a large foot print that really should not have been there. Melvina did look around and after a short while she headed back to her mother's home, ran inside and told her mom what she had discovered and called the Peak FM radio station in Smithers, British Columbia as it was one of the closet media outlets. One of the staff members at Peak FM gave Melvina my telephone number and then she contacted me.

As I listened to her telling me some of the details of what she witnessed in the snow, I became more and more interested as I started to believe we may really have found something here. I asked when would it be okay for me to drive out so I could have a look at the tracks. Melvina said any time was fine with her. Knowing the incident took place sometime after dark on March 8, 2009 and I got this call on March 9, 2009. I figured I had better get going as quickly as possible before bad weather moved in. I packed the necessary things I needed, and rang around some friends looking for some snow shoes. I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door, into the truck and was driving out of Houston toward Moricetown here in British Columbia.

After my hour and a half drive I arrived in Moricetown and easily found Melvinas mother's home. There I met her mom, Melvina and three other family members. All were really kind to me, some bringing out there digital cameras to show me the pictures they took of the tracks. After seeing these I was hooked and excited to get out to the back of the property to look around and see with my own eyes.

Five of us took our time walking over the hard packed snow until reaching the area where the tracks were discovered. To my surprise and excitment there they were, just as Melvina had told me. Why I mentioned that I was surprised, is that I have taken many a long road trips to visit folks who have claimed to have had a UFO or Sasquatch encounter, only to find out someone's imagination was running a little wild! It can be more than frustrating!

Below is the first track I was shown. (Picture number 678) You will notice I do have a plastic ruler beside the foot print and this does not cover the entire length of the track. This one track measured 17 and a half inches in length and what appears to be three toes imprinted into the snow that can clearly be seen. The width across the front part of the foot (outside of left toe to outside of right toe) measures seven inches in width. The arch part of the foot measures 5 inches across and at the back of the heel, this measured 4 inches wide. It sunk down 8 inches into the snow.

Next (Picture number 679) is another look at the track from a different angle.

Next (Picture number 683) shows the length of the stride of the creature which measured 3 and a half feet in length.

What I found really interesting was that there was a creek down a very steep incline. This was some steep hill and went a long way down to the bottom. The creature walked up the hill in about a foot and a half deep snow not breaking it's stride which were close to the same length, 3 and a half feet or better.

There was also another surprise for me, in one of the tracks at the back end of the heel, there we found droplets of blood caked into the hard snow. This portion of the iced snow was dug out and brought back home with me so we could have it analyzed. Barb Campbell at UAD Research in Saskatchewan (http://www.uadresearch.com/) will be receiving the blood sample and a hair sample for testing.

Next (Picture number 690) is a photo of a hair sample, although very hard to view. This will be tested to see if it is anything out of the norm.

This gives an idea of what I was looking at, there are more photos, but I can't post them all.

I have added a few more pictures below.

The northern part of the province of British Columbia is certainly a hot spot for sightings of the Sasquatch. In the latter part of 2008 numerous sightings were reported to me, also Sasquatch footprints were discovered in Burns Lake by a couple of Mormons. Photos were taken of these as well. On my trip to Moricetown I found out about other Sasquatch sightings that have taken place in there last year and years past.

I should also point out, that Barb Campbell from UAD Research and myself will be interviewing witnesses and filming them this coming summer. So if you have seen our tall hairy fellow in northern British Columbia please do write with the details of what you have seen.

Sasquatch/Bigfoot Tracks Found And Filmed In British Columbia (New Pictures)

I figured I would just give a short update on the new Sasquatch goings on in Moricetown, British Columbia. I posted a note yesterday, March 9, 2009 that informed everyone that I had received a call about a Sasquatch in Moricetown, B.C. The date of the incident was on March 8, 2009. I mentioned in my post that I would make the drive to Moricetown today, which is the 10th of March. Well, I gathered everything I needed up yesterday and made the 1 hour 30 minute run to Moricetown. Since the roads were in excellent driving conditions, I figured I better get out there before more bad weather covered the area.

It was a sunny day yesterday, blue sky and what a beautiful drive through the valley looking up at the snow covered mountain peaks. It really was a good day to head out.

Anyway, I arrived at the home where the possible Sasquatch/Bigfoot tracks were discovered and met a really nice lady who had discovered the foot prints.

We chatted a while, also there were three family members there and we eventually headed into the thick forested area to look at the tracks.

I was able to view tracks from a Moose and something else which was really interesting.

There was certainly no question in my mind that what I was looking at were tracks of something that walked on two legs, large foot prints that were not just in a small area, but rather this thing traveled a great distance. Matter of fact the length of the stride of this creature was something else, on a sharp incline (downhill slope) this creature had walked up the hill in about a foot and a half of snow, sinking down with every step it took. When one sees the distance between the foot prints, this creature had some long stride. I have all the measurements for this and for the tracks themselves.

I did mention that I was told there was some scat found close to the area, this ended up being a ways away from where the tracks were and appeared to be dog scat.

I took a whole whack of photos of the foot prints, I just brought my email in and received more photos from the lady who discovered them. Also we found in one of the foot prints (I would say the back of the heel) blood. Hair was found, but I am not sure about this at this time, possibly a hair from a Moose (?) So a very interesting area for sure, there were visual sightings of a Sasquatch in this area in 2008, some reported and others I had no idea about the sightings.

In one close encounter, a Sasquatch picked up two large rocks and banged them together, this I guess was to frightened off a witness who was walking along the road. So alot coming very soon.

Also I wanted to make a note that any of the samples I got from being in the field yesterday will be shipped to my good friend Barb Campbell a Forensic Investigator for Unexplained Animal Deaths. Barb's website can be found at: Web: www.uadresearch.com

Breaking News !

I just got off the telephone as a person called me to file a report of something unusual that took place in Moricetown, British Columbia on March 8, 2009. From what I was told there was some kind of loud sounds coming from the back end of a person's property, this happening in the dark hours. The person told another family member who was there the next day about what took place and they went out back to check to see what may have caused this commotion. The person arrived at the fence line and did see where a Moose was present as tracks from it were visible. But, what shocked them was seeing large foot prints from something. They appeared to be human in shape and hair was found in the area as well. Also human like scat is in the area. Pictures of the foot prints in the snow were taken.

Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO Research will be heading to the area most likely tomorrow as I have to gather some things together.

On another note, I reported a Sasquatch sighting, or three sightings in Moricetown, British Columbia I believe on January 1, 2008. I ended up having no luck whatsoever talking to these folks who claimed to have seen these creatures. Well I will be finally speaking to one of the folks who had a run in with a Sasquatch in Moricetown while they were dropping a letter into a mail box. This meeting is set up.

I will get everything posted when I get back and have time to write everything up.

Sasquatch Sighting In Fruitvale, British Columbia

Time: Daytime sighting.

Hi there, my name is (name removed). I read the Sasquatch reports and found them very interesting. I don't believe in some things I hear but, I know that the Sasquatch is real. In 1965 I was on the road Laodden Road in Fruitvale B.C., at the corner above our house. I was talking to the four friends from the (removed) family. I was about five hundred feet away from a cliff that I have climbed so many time. I saw what looked like a very big bear standing up but, it's to tall. Our friend's home was about fifty feet away, so I asked if the had binoculars. One of my friends ran and came back with a 7x35. binoculars. I watched what I first thought was bear standing up, but was totally shocked by what I saw. It was a big human like hairy man. It had to be about 9 plus tall.

I had a very good look. It stayed out in the open for about ten minutes and it walked back and forth looking over the cliff like it was trying to find a way down, then stopped and stood still. It looked our way and watched us and looked around for about 2 minutes. I made a good mental note of everything I could because I knew this is one in a lifetime chance. As it moved around I could see the face clear, very human like, but the eyebrow line was much more protruding. The face skin was darker than the human face. The mouth was wide, but it appeared that the lips were thin. As it walked, it was like a human, but the arms were a bit to long. The shoulders were round and wide and I did not see the feet.

The head was in proportion to the body as fair as I could tell, but the huge muscles from the shoulder to the head were massive. There was no neck, just a tapper from head to shoulder. The head was round above the ears and the ears did not show up to well, but I could see the shape in the hair. I watched it walk away just like a human. The body was wide and the legs were heavily muscled. I could see from the ankles up as it walked away. The cliff was about fifty feet high. As it walked away I lost view from the ankles up as the top of the cliff is flat. First back of the legs all the way up as it moved away, then the butt, back, then the shoulders neck and head and it was over. The hair was a bit shinny and was very red, about, 2" to 2" and a half long. It was a sunny day in the middle of August of 1965. A day that I think about when out hunting for moose or deer, wondering if I am in the right place at the right time again.

It’s been close to a decade since I started exploring the outdoors, and I have come a long way from the city girl who had never set foot in a canoe or off a well-signed, gravelled trail—yet the true backcountry still unnerves me. As beckoning as nature is, it also boggles with its sheer adversity, challenges with its imperviousness, and taunts with its secrets. Our Northwest wilderness harbours histories that reach back at least as far as the end of the last ice age, ten to twelve thousand years ago.

The original inhabitants of this land, generation upon generation of coastal and inland First Nations, spoke of upright, long-haired wild men (and women) of the woods. Many early European settlers and their descendents encountered a similar beast (and/or his tracks, smells, sounds, or nests). Houston, Babine Lake, Grassy Plains, Moricetown, Hazelton, Terrace, Masset, Juskatla, Skidegate, Klemtu, Hartley Bay, Kemano, and Kitimaat are just some of the many locations where the Sasquatch has popped up.

Two missionaries with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints received a scare on the night of Dec. 2 when they saw what they think was a set of sasquatch footprints outside of their Burns Lake home.

Tyler Beck and Brad Blazzard are in B.C. for two years, rotating in different communities throughout the Smithers and Burns Lake area for the past seven months.

"The first thing we thought was that someone was playing a trick on us," Beck said."But we don't know anyone our age who would do that and our house in on the southside, so pretty much in the middle of nowhere."

Sasquatch Sighted In The Nass Valley, British Columbia

Time: Around Midnight.

I never knew you were looking into the Sasquatch too, two years ago we (my husband, our two sons, and I) were driving home from the Nass Valley. It was approximately midnight when I seen something along a hillside. I was driving, but tried to watch this thing, when my oldest son leaned forward from the backseat and yelled "look, a Sasquatch" and than my 2nd oldest son said "holy smokes". Our car lights hit the creature when we rounded the corner and it looked right at us and than bent down (because it was on two feet) and just like, laid down and disappeared. At this time my husband woke up because the boys were yelling for me to stop. They wanted to run up the hillside and I was yelling "I'm not stopping, what if it's still there". I kept driving and then our boys told their Dad what we saw and he was yelling for me to turn around, but I was too scared. I know this is the closest I want to come to an encounter with a Sasquatch because it was quite big. It was dark in colour (but it was quite dark out) and the hair was laying flat down, but I seen it's face and the way this huge creature could hide so quickly, scared me. Our two sons always tell this story because it's something we will never forget

Houston Today - Three More Bigfoot Sightings Reported

Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO research is still trying to verify three sasquatch sightings in Moricetown.

“Since I got the initial call, I’ve had no other information,” Vike said. “ As near as I can tell, the sightings all happened after the end of September but I have called and called but no one is calling me back.”

The lady who called on the morning of Halloween, told Vike that there had been a rash of sightings on the native reserve. Unfortunately without talking to someone who could give a first-person account, Vike said the information is hearsay at best.

Brian Vike Director of HBCC UFO Research just took a telephone call at 9:15 a.m. on October 31, 2008 from a nice lady who resides in Moricetown on a Indian reserve. She gave me the contact information for a witness who had a large Sasquatch walk right in-front of her on October 30, 2008. Also recently on the same reserve, a Sasquatch was seen looking through the window of someone's home. I have the contact information for this. Lastly another Sasquatch was observed standing in a field and hopefully I will be able to get this person's contact. Actually it should be really easy due to the job the person has.

So three more Sasquatch sightings here in the Pacific Northwest of British Columbia. All the sightings took place between September and up to the end of October 2008.

I should have some details soon on this.

A rash of three sightings between late July and August have brought about speculation from paranormal specialists as to what the creature might be up to.

In addition to Houston sightings, Larry Sommerfield, a self-proclaimed sasquatch hunter from Terrace has a cast in his possession that he says is a sasquatch print.

Though he wouldn’t tell The Terrace Standard how he came into possession of the cast, it is 16 inches long, 10.5 inches wide and has four toes.

Sasquatch/Bigfoot Sighting In Houston, British Columbia Canada

Houston is a forestry, mining and tourism town in the Bulkley Valley of the Northern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. Its urban population is approximately 3500 people, with approximately 2000 in the surrounding rural area. It is known as the "Steelhead Capital" and it has the world's largest fly fishing rod. Houston's tourism industry is largely based on eco-tourism and Steelhead Provincial Park, situated along Highway 16. Also Houston, B.C. is home to HBCC UFO Research.

On August 26, 2008 I took a telephone call from a lady who resides approximately 20 kilometers south from the town of Houston. The lady explained to me that on July 28, 2008 at 6:15 a.m. she had quite the experience. She explained what took place on her acreage just off the Buck Flats Road.

After listening to her story I asked if it would be fine with her if I dropped by to have a chat over the event, also to look around her property. The lady said yes, so I grabbed a few things and drove the 20 some odd kilometers to her home.

As I drove along Buck Flats road I looked from side to side of the gravel road thinking what a great area for anything to hide in as our area is heavily forested. As I arrived at the turn off to the ladies home, I noticed a small swampy creek which was dry, but the creek bed looked wet enough to support any tracks from any animal that might have crossed the creek.

I dove down a long driveway and through the trees I finally was able to see the ladies home and shortly came to a stop, put the truck into park and got out where I was greeted by two large friendly dogs. The owner came out of her home and we started up a conversation about what she witnessed.

On July 28, 2008 at 6:15 a.m. Jenny heard her two dogs scratching at the front door as they wanted to come in, the time was approximately 5:45 a.m. Jenny opened the door and let the dogs in, they had something to eat, then went and laid down. One of her dogs laid down in the living room and the other beside Jenny's bed. Not long after the dogs and their owner settled in, Jenny heard the door knob rattling as if someone was trying to open the door to her home.

The two dogs jumped up immediately and headed straight for the front door. Jenny came from her bedroom and was able to see the door knob actually moving. Of course a sudden panic set in, wondering who was trying to come into her home as she knew her son was working the graveyard shift and he wasn't due home for approximately 2 hours. Her dogs were very excited as they waited at the door, the rattling of the door knob stopped and she waited for a couple of minutes or so and then slowly opened the front door. The dogs almost fell over themselves trying to get outside. Once the door was opened up enough the dogs ran outside and Jenny watched them tear around the side of her home. By the sounds of it, either the dogs heard or smelled something, or possibly both and was hot on whatever, or whomever was at the door a few minutes earlier.

As she waited from the front porch, Jenny heard a loud sound coming from her left, which would have been towards the east side of her property and along the fence line. Jenny turned and to her amazement saw what she describes as a Sasquatch/Bigfoot running along side of her property on the other side of the fence line, which separates her property to her neighbors. This would have had the 7 to 8 foot creature running south towards the Buck Flat Road. Where the creature was, it would have been running through very long grass and the land at that point was sloping down from the fence line. The dogs were hot on the creatures trail. One of the dogs did return after a short period of time, but the other dog was gone for approximately three hours.

I walked over and stood in the area where Jenny saw the creature. I am 6 foot, one inch in height and she was only able to see the top of my head. But with the creature Jenny was able to observe the chest area and everything above. It was already daylight and Jenny was able to get a good look at the creature. She describes the animal as being brownish in color much like the branch that was sitting in the front of her yard with the leaves being dried up and brown. This was the closet Jenny was able to get when it came to the color of the creature. (A dried up bunch of leaves.)

It's hair was rather long and certainly not groomed, but more straggly and it's upper body broad and it was running upright on two legs. There was no foul smell noted.

As Jenny watched the creature running along and eventually disappearing into the trees, she moved quickly back into her home, slammed the door shut and locked it. She was really frightened !

Later that day Jenny got up the nerve to go out an investigate the area where she saw the Sasquatch running. She was able to see a pathway through the long grass but she wasn't sure if this may have been caused by her dogs in hot pursuit of the creature. Jenny did follow the grassy area that was knocked down and did come to a spot where it appeared to look like the Sasquatch may have slipped. All the ground in that area was hard packed, even with all the rain we have had here. But in this one area, it does look like some large and heavy "thing" had slipped on the wet clay/gray muddy area. Also I should point out that the Sasquatch was seen in the area where a possible track was found. This is where the creature would have moved down from the fence line and finally into the forest.

When I (Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO Research) found the possible track, I also followed where the creature had gone, which was away from the fence line and into the forested area. All the land around was rather hard compacted, except for a dried up creek, more of a swampy area which was approximately four feet wide. There again I found that something large and heavy had moved through the area because in one spot where I believe the creature moved through, there was a deep roughed up area. I should also note, there were prints around from cattle, not many, but there were some. I found no other signs of the creature other than the possible track.

One thing I will say is, I thought the lady credible, excited and again frightened as she related the experience to me.

I took some pictures of the area and "possible" track. Although hard to see, it shows that something had slipped in this one area and whatever it was, was very large in size to leave an impression like this.

It appears that this was not the only sighting of British Columbia's Sasquatch as on August 27, 2008 a Sasquatch sighting was reported to me and this coming from the Telkwa Highroad in Moricetown, British Columbia which is only an hour and a half from the Sasquatch sighting I have written about above, in Houston, B.C.

Sasquatch Sighting On The Telkwa Highroad, Moricetown, British Columbia

Brian Vike of HBCC UFO Research took a call today, September 2, 2008 from a lady who related a second hand sighting of the Sasquatch. A friend of hers had witnessed a large, tall creature run out in front of their vehicle as they traveled along the Telkwa Highroad. Up north here on August 27, 2008 the sun would have just gone done, but still leaving a little bit of light in which they were able to view the Sasquatch.

The next day the ladies husband was out washing his wife's car when he noticed a foul smell in the air, the lady and her husband live right in the area where the Sasquatch was observed. The husband had a very eerie feeling come over him knowing what his wife had just witnessed the day before.

Now HBCC UFO Research does not have anymore information on this sighting, but I am trying to contact the lady who had this sighting.

Also I should point out that this is the third Sasquatch sighting that has come in. Two in my area and one at Campbell River on Vancouver Island.

Bit gosh, two sighting of Sasquatch in this area is something else and all in a pretty short period of time. If anyone in the Pacific Northwest from Burns Lake to Terrace and bee witness to a Sasquatch in 2008 I would love to hear from you. You can contact me at: hbccufo@telus.net

Full Description of event/sighting: My husband and I were camping in Campbell River BC. for the labour day weekend. We were quadding down a logging road when we seen a 7 ft. tall creature walking down the left side of the road going in the same direction as us. It was about 200 ft. in front of us. At first I said it must be a bear but it was walking on two feet. It had brown hair all over. It turned sideways and looked at us and quickly walked into the bush. It walked upright like a man swinging long arms by its side. We were in awe of what we seen but knew exactly what it was. We seen a sasquatch! August 31st 2008.

Full Description of event/sighting: Brian, lost your e-mail, please contact me. I had no idea you also had a place here for Bigfoot sightings! I've also seen "Bigfoot" and his family a number of years ago. I'm 42 now and I was about 12 then, with my two older brothers (14yrs.and 18). We were swimming in the Yough River just across from our home around 2:00pm in the summer. The whole river was no higher than maybe up to my waist and remember I was about 12, so it was pretty shallow. Long story short, I'm in the water with one brother, our oldest brother was just a little bit away on the shore. We were looking downstream and saw a huge hairy creature, maybe 7-7.5 feet tall and one a tad bit smaller and two small ones, maybe my size. The big one picked up this huge boulder out of the water and lifted over his head, with arms stretched as far as they could be.

He threw it to the smaller one, the smaller one seemed to be listening to the biggest one because it dropped it into the water as if told to do so. Mind you, we've been watching them for about 10-15 minutes. They all noticed us at the same time, so I know they communicate with each other. Then all four of them very, very, slowly went down in the water! Being a 12 year old I thought they were coming up stream to get us! We got out of the water so fast and ran across the street to home. We didn't know anything about "Bigfoot" back then, or we could've possibly got footprints from the shore, or watched to see where they went and got pictures. We just knew we saw some kind of hairy creatures and didn't want any part of that river again.

Full Description of event/sighting: The lead in story reads like a normal night around my house. My family and I have smelled or seen this thing on many occasions. We are missing cats and sometime the cats we have left all come to the porch and will not get down until the smell goes away. Tonight I went out to place some table scraps on the patio for the wild animals and when I stood up this thing, whatever it is was 10-12 feet from me. The ground it was on was about 1-1.5 feet lower than where I was standing and it was the same height as me. I stand 6 feet, so this thing would be near 7.5 feet tall, and an easy 3 feet or more wide. I have always been a very physical person and this thing made me feel about as tough as a preschool girl. I did not have a good light source so I did not get a good look at it.

We have heard it growl several times in the night sometimes right outside of our windows. This was not the first time we have seen it but it was certainly the closest. We are starting to feel like prisoners in our own home. We can not go out after dark without feeling watched. There are other reports in our neighborhood of missing pets. All small animals. We have not found any tracks but we have not felt safe enough to go tromping through the woods with this thing out there. The next door neighbor has experienced some of the same things we are experiencing. We live in a heavily wooded area and wild animals coming up is not uncommon but this is a little extreme.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian! I just read the post about that Sasquatch sighting in Port Renfrew; the same thing happened to me in the summer of 2004. We had a mineral claim up an abandoned logging road just outside the village of Port Renfrew. One afternoon, I was alone at the trailer, my husband was working. I had to go to work myself in the afternoon, so I got in the truck and started driving down the old road. Not even a 100 meters away, I saw what at first I thought to be a bear, because we knew there was a big and also a smaller bear hanging in the area. So I started to stop the truck. It had come out of the bush from the left side of the road, where the land drops quit a bit, and when it got in the middle of the road, it froze, seeing my truck coming. Then he bolted towards the other side of the road, where there was a rock face.

There's actually an animal trail going up that rock, and also another abandoned road on top of it which is totally over grown. I remember freezing myself, because my brain couldn't understand what I was seeing. It was impossible a bear could just come out of the bush, standing up, walk on the road and then start running, still standing on two legs, and hop up the trail! It was dark brown, about 7 foot tall, walked like a man. I could see it clearly because by the time I stopped the truck, it wasn't even 20 meters away and it was on very a bright day. I saw it's face when it turned around to look at the truck. It really did look like Sasquatch depictions I have seen up to now. I remember getting of the truck and checking the road and up the trail if I could see anything. But I didn't find anything. I didn't hear or saw it again afterwards.

Naugatuck, Connecticut Bigfoot Or Something Else ?

Message: I don't want to sound fanatic and hopefully there is a good explanation to all this. I live in Connecticut and not sure what I heard last night at approx. 1:30 a.m. The backyard of my home faces the woods. My backyard is several yards from a sharp ravine that slopes down to into the woods and to a stream. Not too far from the stream is a reservoir located in a wooded area. With my window open last night, I heard what was like a whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop sound coming from the woods in the back of my house. At the same time, I heard a loud pitch screeching noise more near my house that nearly shook me out of bed. It seemed liked the screeching sound was closer to my home than the whooping sound. I know the woods could house many wild animals due to the stream in the back.

I haven't got the foggiest clue what I'm hearing back there. Another time, my husband and I heard sounds in the wee hours of the morning what sounded like sounds coming from a jungle (almost like a large bird). But it seemed like there were two of these things communicating with each other. Do you think these are animals instead of birds. I don't know of any birds awake at 1:30 or 2:00 in the morning. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your response. My county is Naugatuck. The woods is adjacent to our stretch of homes in the back of our park. Unfortunately, I didn't have a recorder handy, but neither was I expecting this type of event. I asked my neighbor if she heard anything last night (June 3, 2008) but she heard nothing. She did say at times she hears strange animal noises but not to this liking. I would like to explore the ravine for footprints, but it's so steep and dangerous. Do you think a large animal similar to Bigfoot could be present in the area? It's kind of strange, but the whooping sound almost sounded mechanical instead of humanlike. I know we have a water treatment plant in back of the stream, but I don't think the sound came from the plant. I will keep a tape recorder handily just in case another sound pops up.

Also, just another piece of information, a couple of weeks ago, I heard some strange noises (between a clicking and cawing, different sound, but hard to explain) coming from woods in my backyard. This happened same time around 1:30 -2:00 a.m. It sounded like these two 'things' were calling out to each other from a distance. I really didn't pay much attention to these noises, but since last night's episode, I'm rather curious now. Hope I'm not alone hearing these things. Please let me know. Thanks.

Sasquatch/Bigfoot Sighting Outside Of Smithers, British Columbia

Message: Hi Brian, Gosh I have been trying to remember the details of a Bigfoot sighting in the Bulkley Valley. Maybe someone from the area will remember this. It was sometime during the mid 70's and just outside of Smithers on Highway 16 towards Moricetown. I was a kid and remembered hearing on the local radio channel (Was it BVLD Radio back then too?) that someone had spotted Bigfoot run across the road in front of them head into the trees towards the Bulkley River.

We lived along the Telkwa Hi-Road on a ranch called Springhill at the time. On the other side of the hi-road was the Bulkley River and beyond that was property and then Highway 16. I remembered being so excited at the prospect that I might have a chance to see this creature that I sat on our log fence in the front yard and watched the field below us (which belonged to the Rosenberg's at the time) the entire day. I kid you not. It was morning when I went to sit on the fence and it was dark when I gave up. I was determined not to miss it. I was convinced that if Bigfoot made it across the river that he was going to run across that field. Boy was I disappointed when he never showed! LOL

I wonder if anyone else can remember that sighting? Thanks a bunch!

Bigfoot - A Large Brownish Red Creature Ran Across The Road (United States)

About Bigfoot, It is my second encounter, in 1986 a large brownish red creature ran across the road in front of me and (name removed) when he was in the first grade. Apparently he knew where we lived because at night I began to feel I was being watched. About 3 or 4 weeks later, the dogs in the kennel in the Corral barked all night, finally at 3:00am I went out to let the dogs out, everyone in the house was sleeping. I went out, opened the gate, took about 10 steps toward the kennel and he (Bigfoot) screamed (yelled) at me. It was the scariest sound I've ever heard, I stopped and said OH Sh--. then I ran to the pen and the dogs passed me running into the house. The next morning I went out to the corral and he had broken a cedar post off that had been set in concrete for 2 years, so I think he left his calling card.

At sundown here, you can go out and hear them hollering to each other. One will yell in one direction and another one will answer him, then another one will answer that one from another direction. So, there here. I have feelings for them, and I've learned a lot. I believe this particular one lives underground. I know where. He has to be underground because he lives near people, and hunters are everywhere during hunting season, so I feel he goes underground at day break and comes out at sunset. He gets very frustrated and beats tin on the barn and it sounds like King Kong. My son has had different experiences with Bigfoot also. As for me, I think BF is curious about me, and I think he watched me through the windows when we first moved into this house. This is getting a little long, I'll write you more later. Think about what you want to do.

Prince George To Vancouver, British Columbia A Sasquatch Blood Curdling Shrieking ?

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, the recent Sasquatch reports have motivated me to tell you of an event from many years ago.

This is a story that has been told by my father.

The trip from Prince George B.C. to Vancouver B.C. is a long one, about 500 miles. Sixty-five years ago it probably seemed even longer. That was when it was still a gravel road and had few tunnels and few bridges. Even now it is an empty part of the Province.

During the summer of 1941 my father, a school teacher, wanted to go to Vancouver from Prince George. No money and no car meant the best way to travel was by bicycle. He found a friend who was willing to make the ride with him and off they went. The combination of different riding skills, stamina and quality of bike meant that much of the time they were many miles apart, so sometimes dad was riding alone.

Because of the heat during the day they often rode at night. Early summer nights are short so far north so it was never very dark. The northern sky was always light.

The adventures and incidents that he experienced are interesting and funny, except one. This took place not far from 100 Mile House. Now most of the Cariboo is covered with trees but in those days much of it was open rolling grasslands . What trees there were appeared mainly around lake edges and in the folds of the hills.

Dad had been riding alone for most of the evening. A flat tire had slowed dad some and his friend was well ahead of him. By the time the sky was as dark as it was going to get, everything was silent. The only sound was from his bicycle tires on the loose gravel.

Suddenly the night exploded in sound. It was a shrieking screeching undulating howl like nothing he had ever heard before. He'd heard the expression of "blood turning to ice". Now he knew just what that meant. Dad was not unfamiliar with the outdoors. He'd heard the sound of owls catching prey, cougars, moose, elk and bears. This was different. His reaction was to get out of there! But which way? The sound was coming from all around him. When he saw faint movement in a nearby clump of trees he'd just passed, he took a guess that he should go the opposite direction, which was also the way he was heading. And he did, as fast as he could pedal. As suddenly as it started the sound stopped. Again there was no sound but the tires on the gravel going much faster this time!

A few valleys later he caught up to his friend, who had heard nothing.

Eventually dad decided he must have heard a moose bouncing several times off a fence wire, or something. However he was never comfortable with that explanation.

At the time he was not very aware of a creature called a Sasquatch although he had seen the newspaper photo of a live one captured near Yale in the Fraser Canyon (never have managed to find out what happened with it). He can't remember if that was before or after his bike ride.

About thirty years later I was living and working in the 100 Mile House area. A co-worker who was an avid outdoors man asked if I would work his shift for him one weekend. He and his buddies wanted to go on a fishing and camping weekend at an isolated back woods lake a couple of hours out of town. They left Friday and surprisingly were back just after sunrise Saturday. Apparently they had reached the lake, set up camp and sat around a campfire for a while before turning in. They did not stay up late as they wanted to be up early for the fishing. Sometime after they had settled for the night an incredible howl had them all out of bed and looking at each other in astonishment. Although they were all hunters and fishermen none of them had ever heard a sound like that before. It seemed to becoming from the far side of the lake. Suddenly it stopped. Half an hour later they heard it again but this time it was much closer to the end of the lake and therefore closer to their campsite. A few minute later it screeched again, this time even closer.

So these four men not only packed up and left, they were not ashamed to admit it!

He described the sound to me, undulating, screeching, howling, blood chilling. It sounded so much like what my father had described, I told him about it.

Dad just got a funny look on his face and said" I never really did think that what I heard was a moose running into a fence!" .

East Texas Continuing Bigfoot Sightings

I've had a few strange encounters since we moved back to E. Texas, not with UFOs but with Bigfoot. He was here when we moved in the house I bought. It's located between two forests and a gravel pit near by. A lot of weird things were happening, noises, bumps , tin beating on barn, etc. Then one night my son & I heard a noise I can't explain, we jumped up, got the big flash light, and along with the dog we ran out back, it was about 1:30 am. My son shinned the light above the tall grass. This was Sept. 17, 2007. We didn't see anything so Sierra and the German Shepherd walked around to the front where his truck was parked. I stayed in the back alone, leaning up against my Ford Ranger looking toward the north. About that time I could see something light in color rising up out of the tall grass behind a dead tree limb lying on the ground about 10 feet. from me.

This thing rose up, up, up and kept rising. I began talking to myself and rubbing my eyes. The creature must have been over 8 feet tall and maybe 3 feet wide. It really surprised me. I know it was a Bigfoot, but the whitish color threw me off. He stood there about 7 or 8 seconds looking at me. I couldn't say a word, I was so scared. Then he turned and ran away in a northerly direction. The horses in the pasture started acting up and the dogs at the neighbors began barking. I tried to feed him, and I bought a security camera but I've never gotten any pictures. I covered some of the windows in the living room and one night I heard him growl after I covered the window.

By the paths around the grass and bushes, I think he was looking in the window at me. My son heard him growl outside the bedroom window and I heard him growl outside the bathroom window. Last week, the dog outside barked and ran scared, I got the flash light and shinned it across the street in front of the house. I saw his eyeballs looking at me for a few seconds then he slowly lowered himself behind the large round bales of hay. I also know where he lives, I hiked into the woods and say several piles of human like feces, with persimmon seeds and animal hair resembling my gray cat that mysteriously disappeared. You know Brian, you may not believe me, but it's kind of strange having a creature wandering around your place every night.

Sasquatch Crossing The Road Near Port Renfrew, British Columbia

Hi there, On March 8, 2008, myself, my two sons and my sister were taking a leisurely sunny drive along Sooke Road towards Port Renfrew. On the last straightaway just before Port Renfrew my 19 year-old son, who was sitting in the front seat with me, and I both noticed a two legged dark figure dart quickly across the road. It was quite a way down the road (500 ft?), but what struck us as odd was the way it seemed to bolt straight across the road - like an animal that was bolting - or being very timid.

I asked my son what that person was doing up the road because I thought it a strange way for someone to cross the road with no traffic to avoid.

When we approached the approximate area where we saw the figure cross, we were surprised to see that there was nothing on either side of the road but trees and thick brush. There may have been a few tight animal trails, but there certainly did not appear to be any break in the brush that a grown person could go bolting through. Because of this, we turned the car around and slowly drove down the shoulder of the road searching the dense brush to try to make sense of the situation.

The kicker is that when my son first sighted the figure, he thought it was a bear because he says he saw what appeared to be a hairy creature, but that because it ran across the road upright on two legs with both arms swinging long alongside it's body and in a rather hunched way, he was confused. What I saw was a rather large black human figure run hurriedly straight out of the brush from one side of the road right across to the other side of the road straight into the brush. I noticed no definition of clothing or color and no backpack or anything held. I thought it a bear, too, but my mind was reaching for something but I quickly discounted a bear.

Seeing that there was nothing on either side of the road and the odd way the apparently human figure darted across the road, we considered extremely odd behavior. This left us considering the possibility it may have been a sasquatch. The situation and the behavior was just weird enough.

Logically looking back, it is a thickly wooded and isolated area and if a person wanted to cross the road, there would be no need to run in such a manner. Also, normally one would have stood at the side of the road and looked before crossing. We were just struck with the odd occurrence. In fact, it was weird enough behavior for one to think it's more logically a sasquatch than a human - if you consider their existence a possibility.

As my son says, if it isn't a sasquatch, then it's a very big man dressed in a monkey suit running through the woods.

Sasquatch Prints Under The Groat Road Bridge, Edmonton River Valley

Hi Brian, It's been a while since I've had anything interesting to report, last thing I reported was back in February, "Between Bruderheim & Lamont, Alberta ball of white light lit up the sky" which was passed on from my friend's brother.

I recently read "Inside the mind of Brian Vike" and it reminded me that I ought to send you these pictures of Sasquatch handprint and footprints right here under the Groat Road bridge in the Edmonton River Valley. I also seem to have possible UFO photos also. But first thing first.

May 7th 2006 I got bored of reading about Sasquatch so for the fun of it I decided to head out into the River Valley and just go looking for animal prints. I wasn't looking for Sasquatch, just figured I'd spend the early morning looking for coyote & deer prints. I ventured up the river by bicycle using the multi-trails to the area behind Fort Edmonton Park and John Jansen nature centre. A big beaver scared the day lights out of me as at first I thought it was a coyote, but nope, was a beaver.

In the same area just for the fun of it I used the stick I had been walking with to knock on a big rock like Sasquatch supposedly knocks. Knocked 3 times, waited about a minute, nothing, so I turned around and was going to head back home until I heard a "whoop whoop whoop" sound coming from across the river. I was on the south side of the river and the sounds came from a very heavily dense forested area on the northern side. Now I thought maybe it was a loon? But it really did sound more baboon. Anyways I convinced myself it was just a loon and kept walking and that's when I heard these blood curdling screams!

It sounded like a woman being attacked, real freaky and that really got my attention. I eventually made my way over to the other side and didn't find much but some deer bones. The forest was way too thick for me to even try to venture through, plus I was by myself and didn't want to enter alone. So I headed back home and reported what I heard on West Coat Sasquatch Research message board. (http://grandcherokee.proboards26.com/)

You can find it there under "on the track of the Sasquatch" entitled "Backyard Bigfoots in Edmonton Area" but no one seemed to care, so I gave up on it.

May 28, 2006 I went fishing under the Groat Rd Bridge and came across a huge handprint and footprints and what looked like a Sasquatch had slid in the mud, really if it wasn't for the handprint I probably wouldn't of really noticed anything else.

So I took some pictures as I carry my digicam with me when I go fishing as I catch and release all the time. Again I reported this to the message board but again no one seemed to care, even linked my yahoo photo album so others could see I wasn't making this up. No one responded!

Man those prints, kind of a dream come true for me, I didn't see one (Sasquatch) but I came across it's prints, good enough for me. So I will link you to the album for you yourself to see and if you want I could even email you some pictures, though I've never seen any pictures of Sasquatch on hbccufo, so not sure if you are interested, the handprint is pretty cool though! Attached is a few pictures. Seems Sasquatch fell down! For more see Last Album entitled "prints under the bridge"

Additional Information:

Definitely will send you some of the most clear and best shots of the handprint, footprints, crater where it looks like it slid and fell. Funny as I came across those prints I had pretty much given up on Sasquatch in the river valley as no one seemed to care, but voila! there they were. I kind of get the creeps now when I venture in there. The next day I went back with a tape measure and measured and did all I could to record the prints aside from plaster casting, never attempted and that was the main reason why I had originally gone out the first time to look for coyote or deer tracks to see if I could find some to later return and maybe practice plaster casting before I came across something good to plaster cast, but I'm not that interested in Sasquatch searching much anymore, kind of had my fill. I don't know if the West Coast group thought I was faking them or not, but really if I would want to fake something like this I would of done it where I go camping in Jasper, not in the middle of the city, would seem more realistic to find tracks in Jasper than in Edmonton.

The pictures of the prints really don't do them any justice, was the main reason I went back the next day with the tape measure and also my mind was kind of in denial about it so I had to go back and see them again, just to make sure I really had taken pictures of what I thought! And make sure I wasn't been hoaxed, which I hardly believe I was, I will send you more pictures, one has my bootprints and the depth is so noticeable! I went back there 3 weeks ago and most have been washed away, only thing remaining was abit of the handprint as it was so close to the concrete wall.

Sasquatch In Northern, British Columbia

This report starts in mid October 2001. While in the Canadian Tire parking lot, Dan, a long time acquaintance came up to me and started telling me about three Sasquatch that had been hanging around his property the whole summer the pervious year (2000). when I asked him why he waited a whole year to tell me this, he said that he didn't know who to contact. It was only when his grandchildren saw my name on the web did he learn of my interest in the Sasquatch. Arrangements were made to visit him at his home to get more details.

Dan's house is the last one on the left hand side of the road. Behind the lot and running back along the street for three quarters of a mile is a large area of undeveloped crown and park land. Behind the houses there is also a natural gas pipeline and the clearing for it is called the Pipeline Road. During the recession of the early 1980's a make work program, the heavy brush and scrub trees were removed and the area thinned out. A number of access trails were made by cutting the trees close to the ground. This area is well used by dirt motorcycles, mountain bikes, horse riders and hikers.

It is in this area, surrounded by houses and buildings that the Sasquatch were for the whole summer.

In early May 2000, Dan's seventeen year old granddaughter accompanied by a large sized dog was walking along Pipeline Road. About 150 feet past Dan's house, towards the hill was a flat area on top. Their dog suddenly pressed against the granddaughter's legs and stopped her. The granddaughter wondering why the dog was acting so strangely, she saw about 250 feet ahead of her, three hairy men crossing the road from the park to the brush on the other side. Two were brown and one was white.

Dan knew what these hairy men were.

Not long after this, Dan decided to take a horse back ride in the park. The horse refused to leave the Pipeline Road and enter the park and it was this way all summer. Also noted was all the dogs in the neighborhood were barking much more than usual.

Several times during the summer Dan walked through the area looking for signs of these creatures. All that was found were places on the moss that had a very strong unpleasant odor where the Sasquatch had apparently bedded down. It was also noted that all the wild berries had disappeared and no bear droppings were seen. A number of times his horse and the neighbors dogs were acting up and nothing could be seen to cause this at night.

During the summer, once he hung out an old work jacket on a high fence post that was on the bush side of his yard which he soon forgot about. When he finally thought about it and went to retrieve it several days later it was stinking strongly of urine and had to be washed. Apparently this is what the Sasquatch think of us humans.

Also during the summer a large tree came down across Pipeline Road and Dan cut it up for firewood. It was wheel barrowed in as it was needed. In mid October around 7:30 p.m. he went for another load of wood. With him was a Husky breed of dog that he was looking after. When he was heading out he noticed a group of kids on the road and they were taking their time in going home as it was getting dark.

When Dan reached the firewood which was at the location where the granddaughter was when she saw the hairy men. The dog was some distance further down the road investigating the roadside. Just as the first piece of wood landed in the wheelbarrow a loud scream came out of the bus across the Pipeline Road from the parkland and where the dog was sniffing around. The dog was paralyzed and didn't know what to do, but came to Dan when he was called.

He could also hear the voices of the concerned kids on the Road. The wheelbarrow was loaded and they started back. As they neared the fence of his property line there was another loud scream from the bush on the same side of the road which made the dog whimper with fear. The kids who were on the road had heard enough. From their scared voices and running feet it was obvious that they were clearing out.

Meantime, Dan was trying to calm the dog and at the same time talk to the creatures in the bush with a soothing voice that meant no harm. By now it was too dark to see any thing in the bush, but there were more screams. What he did was a number of "ough,ough,ough and some chatter which gradually moved away. It appears that there were at least two at this spot. It is my feeling that the screaming was at the dog for being so close and not at Dan.

A few days later, Dan began to make the sounds that he had heard and all the dogs within hearing distance would start barking. By mid November the dogs would no longer bark so franticly, so Dan tired his horse again. This time it went into the park. The dogs and horse knew that the Sasquatch were around even if the people didn't. Even with heavy use, these creatures despite their huge size managed to stay out of sight for the most part.

This is the next report on the Sasquatch. On the previous report Dan had first told me that in mid October 2001 what had happened the previous year (2000). Dan was rather hard to get a hold of at his home. Being retired and a widower, plus living alone he likes to spend a lot of time shooting the bull at the local watering hole. because of this the final details were not obtained until November 24, 2001.

During the summer of 2001 there were no signs of Sasquatch in the park area. When mushroom picking season arrived, the park area became rather crowded so he went up Terrace Mountain. he also took his dog with him. while he was looking for mushrooms the dog was doing his own exploring. Dan's dog started a howling session so Dan went to investigate. When he arrived to where his dog was he saw about a 4x6 foot flat rock, on the rock were three big piles of strange looking scat. (animal droppings) Dan knew there weren't from a bear. Also his dog has never showed the slightest interest in bear droppings before. However the dog went owly over these scats. They were not touched but Dan kept a lookout for the creature after that. He has been up the mountain recently and found that recent heavy rains had washed two of them away. One was under an evergreen tree and was still intact. Also he had found three large footprints that has a six foot stride across a slide area. Dan approached Mike to see if he was interested in seeing this and would take him up on the mountain to have a look. Of course Mike was interested in seeing the scat as he felt it could not be faked. The only problems was that Mike is 83 years old and has arthritis in his left knee. Dan felt that Mike could make it by using his cane, so the next day, November 25, 2001 we went up to retrieve the scat, taking along an ice cream bucket and some plastic to pick it up.

It all was as Dan had described it. There were only stains on the rock where the two other scats had washed down the sides. The base of the rock was checked and there was nothing there. I'm looking around and wondering what attracted the creature to this spot so often as there was no food here. Dan had already figured it out. This rock was in the center of a now discontinued power line right of way. a hundred yards below was a good view of a nature hiking trail. Below that was a busy road with a bridge across the Skeena River. It was the ideal place to do some people watching.

The scat was put in the pail and it was off to look at the tracks, there were three in an almost straight line across a narrow shale slide area. The footprints were just oblong depressions, four inches deep and about six feet apart. Dan is 6 ft 2 and weighs 280 pounds and left no visible footprints on the slide area, even just below the Sasquatch tracks. From this observation how much would a 10 foot tall Sasquatch weigh?

The scat weighed one and a quarter pounds. It was loaded with plum stones as if the creature had raided someone's orchard. About 1000 feet away on a bench was a sizeable housing area. Another member who drives a taxi counted nine plum trees in that area. Even though word had gone around that something was in the area .. nobody had reported seeing anything like this creature. During the summer of 2003, full reports were sent to the Washington State University, Oregon Field Guide and a B.C. Anthropologist. None replied even though they regularly appear on TV documentaries. A check was also made to the B.C. government and they have no testing facility for this type of work. And could offer no more help.

The plum stones that the Sasquatch ate are sharp and rough and are in the fasces. There is some headway being made to prove scientifically that the Sasquatch exists. In the meantime the scat was allowed to dry out and is now one third of its original size.

After we had picked up the Sasquatch scat, Dan told me of an incident that took place at the home of a long time mutual acquaintance. Due to the circumstances involved his name can't be given so we'll call him Jim. When I arrived at his home, Jim had been expecting me to drop by. The incident in question took place in summer around 1980. As with most people of that time he really didn't believe in wild people living in the woods.

One night about two a.m. he was awakened by some noise outside his bedroom window. There, silhouetted by the street lights, was a large human like figure that filled much of the five feet long and 3 feet high window. He thought that it was standing on a ladder because its head was near the top of the window which was 10 feet off the ground. Huge hands were on the window sill. The creature that he believed didn't exist .. was here at his bedroom window.

Thinking that the creature was trying to break in and fearing for his life, he hurried to the closet where he had a double barreled shotgun and a box of shells. Quickly loading the gun he went back to the window. There at point blank range he raised his shotgun to the center of the forehead and let go with both barrels. One after the other right through the glass. He then rushed to the shattered window to see the results of his marksmanship. To his disbelief he sees a huge human like figure high tailing it down the driveway to the road. At the speed it was going nothing on legs would have caught it. It would have been foolhardy to go outside in the dark, so the gun was reloaded and he went back to bed. In the morning there were huge footprints under the window but not a drop of blood could be found. The next question asked was about the color of the fur and he said it was white. The last question was if this had been reported to the police. His answer was that the police would never have believed him. There was no body, no blood, and the footprints could be fakes.

He would have probably been charged with dangerous use of a firearm in a residential area. The houses across the street were peppered with bird shot. However enough velocity was lost so no windows were broken. No damage was noticed. And no reports were made to the police.

It is safer to talk about it now as there is less skepticism that the Sasquatch exists. So what happened here ???? We can surmise that the creature saw movement in the room and decided to exit in a hurry. It moved just far enough aside for the hail of pellets to miss its head and ended up with a good scare and badly ringing ears.

There were no more reports of a Sasquatch peeking into any house windows. However, in my talking to loggers, there was mention of a Sasquatch doing similar things on the Queen Charlotte islands. This gives our local report some validity.

Another report came in from a logging crew. While on a logging site they saw at a distance, a human form. They were sure that what they were seeing was not a human.

Milburn Lake Large Human Like Footprints Discovered In The Snow

The third strange thing to happen around Milburn Lake took place in 1980. A friend and I were snow mobiling on the lake and decided to go onto the shore by a place we knew as Ricens Cabin. It was a burnt out old log cabin where kids would ice fish or in the summer swing on the Tarzan swing. Any ways we had gone ashore on the sled when we became stuck in deep snow. I jumped off to find a stick or something to help lift the sled out. As I approached the remains of the cabin, I noticed there were, what looked to be human foot prints in the snow, only they were naked foot prints and were very large.

There was only one set of tracks and the stride had to be double that of mine. I called my friend over to show him what I had found. After seeing the tracks he thought discretion was the better part of valor and we beat a hasty retreat back out onto the ice and away from the trees. This ends my weird stories about Milburn Lake and the mountain.

Please I would like to here from any one who has had similar experiences around there or who has heard anything similar.

It has been many years that have past, since, me and my brother had a Sasquatch cross our path. It happened in the mid to late 70's in the Campbell River area. As the junior school had been destroyed by fire we had to go to the senior high. Our schedule was from 1:00-5:00pm. On our way to school we would take a short cut to school through a patch of forest. As we used to live in the Prince George, Hixon, B.C. area and we had forest smarts. Respect the forest and the creatures that call it home. Anyway for the longest time on our trek to school through this patch of forest it was like half way through like clock work the hair on the back of our necks would tell us to run.

Every day we would come up with some lame reason for this unknown terror. Yet being winter it would be dark on our way home at 5:00pm. We without question would always take the long late way home. Seeing nothing we soon forgot our experience until sometime near the end of spring break when me and my brother took a go-cart I had built in metalwork up to this area near the tree line and area of mystery. At that time a subdivision was in the works. There were 3 hills perfect to coast from the top to the bottom without cars to worry about. It was nearing dark when my brother asked if I wanted to ride the hills one more time before it got dark. I agreed to this then looked straight up the 3rd hill as I was steering while he pushed and rode on back.

To our surprise and instant fear just as we are to head up the last hill this huge dark creature crosses in front of us about a short half block away. All I really remember is it took 3 quick steps across a 30 to 32 foot wide roadway. The hair on the back of my neck did the straight thing and my brother did a speed record in running home. As short this experience was and the terror felt we never discussed our experience until many years later. My brother doesn't really like to talk about the subject our some of the other things that happened in our younger years. Looking back this creature could have grabbed either one of us if it wanted to. My feeling is the creature was curious it may have even been trying to make contact. One weird thing re: the forest run through, was I noticed was the forest was littered with small bits of food wrappings. Almost like someone was licking food off the wrapping then spitting it out in small pieces, as just this one area was littered with this trash.

Since moving to the Nanaimo area my interest has been sparked by other experiences told to me by others and different info gathered, plus seeing a couple UFO's one being a little too close for comfort. As some believe the two are related I'd have to agree to a point on the other hand I'd would also have to say that humans are just as much a alien species. This story is pretty tame, but the experience never leaves you even if many disbelieve. All I know if I was in the forest and there was a Sasquatch, Yeti, Bigfoot or a ground burrower around I would know. These creatures are not the stupid animals, many put them of to be. Also as most natives think they are just spirit beings they are not as they have more weight and being then given credit. Have to get back to work so if you have any inquires let me know and I will keep in touch as there is more. Also I may send you through the mail some other info that you may or may not have to hopefully understand the reason for the secrecy regarding these naked creatures of the forest.

Roosevelt Lake, Arizona Bigfoot Sighting

Message: This message is to Brian Vike in response to sightings of BigFoot. And to contribute somehow to the on going research by Robert. W. Morgan.

In 2001 January, my husband and a fishing buddy were fishing in the early morning about between 4 and five am up at Roosevelt Lake which borders the Mogollon Rim. His buddy spotted it first and motioned to my husband to look . There could be no doubt to what they saw. My husband said a man about 9 feet tall and covered with dark brown hair was walking less than half a mile away perhaps 100 yards the length of a foot ball field or less above them on the ridge.

He said the creature was walking and taking huge strides. what was amazing was the Bigfoot for there was no question here, was able to cover the entire ridge in less then five minutes. also to note, there was no way for a human being to get up there as there is no ingress or egress on that ridge. Since the creature or being took huge strides unlike a human swinging it's arms and was covered in dark brown hair and was high up on this mountain ridge, they had to conclude it could not be a man . His buddy doesn't want to acknowledge it, but my husband knows beyond a shadow of a doubt the early morning strider was indeed Bigfoot. We just listened to a prior broadcast with Robert W. Morgan on Art Bell from 2001, and on that show Mr. Morgon validates that Bigfoot do reside around the Mogollon Rim in that very area where my husband was. so that really validates it for us.

Sasquatch In Northwestern, British Columbia

Does a large hairy covered humanoid roam the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest ? Changes are more likely that you will encounter this creature close to civilization than in the deep woods. If very lucky it may even be in your own back yard. This creature was no stranger to the first nations people of western Canada and the U.S. In fact the name "Sasquatch" loosely translated means "Wild Man of the Forest". It's tracks and sightings have been made from the mountains ranges in northern California to the tundra of the Yukon and Alaska. To the none natives in the U.S., it is called "Big Foot", and in the Himalayas the "Yeti". A recent T.V. program on the learning channel revealed that a dozen other countries, including Australia have similar creatures with their own names.

In this article we will only cover our own area. For obvious reasons many peoples names and some locations cannot be given. Also the sightings will be given in the order that they were received in the late 1960's a veterinarian by the name of Dr. Proctor opened a clinic on the 4600 block on Lakelse Ave., just east of the Bank of Montreal. In the front window there was a pair of large plaster cast footprints. When he was asked for the reason of the display of these footprints, the reply was that he was very interested in this creature. The sight of these big feet may bring in more information and it did.

Sighting # 1

In 1974 a friend and I applied for two expired gold placer leases on Lorne Creek, 30 miles east of Terrace, British Columbia, on the railroad side of the river. The boat used to cross the river was tied up at Jim's place on the highway side of the river. Since there were grizzly bear in the area we carried rifles. In shooting the breeze one evening, we asked Jim what kind of wildlife was in the area. Of course there was Moose, but recently he had seen something different. While doing some work there he spotted a moving patch of brown a short distance away. Curious as to what it may be, he sneaked closer. It appeared to be a brown colored bear that had its back towards him and was standing up on its hind legs eating Saskatoon berries, however, it was using its front paws like hands. The last cover was 50 feet from this creature and this was as close as he could get. from this point he saw that the paws were hands and this was not a bear, but some kind of hair covered human like creature a little over 6 feet tall. Also it had a very strong odor that reminded him of a camel smell when he once worked in a circus. After about 10 minutes the creature sensed that something was near it and turned sideways and spotted Jim who then saw it was a female as it had breasts. The creature then just trotted off.

It was then Jim's wife spoke up. The pervious summer about the same time of the year she was home alone. Suddenly their two tied up watch dogs raised an awful commotion, more so than if a bear was around. Stepping outside she saw through the trees about 100 yards away skirting the yard a large black bear walking on it's hind legs. She knew a bear didn't walk on it's hind legs. This couple were told of Dr. Proctors interest and if they would be willing to grant him an interview if he came out. They agreed and he was notified. Later on down the street I asked him how he made out. His reply was that it certainly appeared that this is what they saw.

Sighting # 2

This also occurred in 1974. At that time the new highway bridges into Terrace had reached a point in construction where it was safe for the public to inspect them after working hours. Taking advantage of this, Dick and a friend decided to cross to Ferry Island from the Terrace side and explore it. On the river bank they found fresh large footprints. They went back and picked up some plaster of paris and a camera. After the casts were made a through search was made for the creature but it was not seen. They kept their find a secret until they were sure it was no longer around. It is quite possible that this was the one that was seen at Lorne Creek.

Sighting # 3

This took place near the end of January at one of our local landfills. At about 2:00 AM a worker returned to the landfill to pick up a set of keys that had been left in a piece of equipment. As he was walking past the area where the last dumping was, he saw a figure crouching amongst the garbage. He called out with a "hello there, what are you doing in the dump at this time of the night." The figure stands up and this worker who was about 100 feet away was amazed at it's huge height and size. It stood at over 10 feet tall. The creature turned and looked at the worker, then just walked out to the bush at the rear of the landfill, looking back several times to see if it was being followed. When it was a safe distance away the worker went to the spot where it was first seen. The footprints were 5 feet apart, further than the worker could spread his legs. Also it walked through 2 feet of snow as easily as a human could walk through ankle deep snow. It was learned later that 2 days after this sighting, a similar sighting, maybe of the same creature was made at Usk about 12 miles east of Terrace.

Sighting # 4

This took place around 1950. Two logger brothers set up a bush sawmill on the Babine Lake road just out of Smithers. The staff and workers built cabins to be near the mill. One Sunday having nothing else to do, the younger brother decided to do a little exploring in the woods. Coming across a game trail, he decided to follow it. On the trail were giant footprints that looked like those made by a large grizzly bear, but they had no claw marks on their ends. Also the steps were 5 feet apart and still 4 feet apart even when going up a steep hill. The logger was 6 foot, 2 inches tall and could barely match the stride by stretching his legs to the limit. Even when going up the hill his steps were only half as long.

While following the tracks he noticed the trail was littered by a lot of fresh stripped twigs. Looking up he saw all the alder trees up to 20 feet on both sides of the trail had all of their upper branches stripped bare. The taller 20 foot trees had 4 inch trunks near the ground. It was very evident that this creature was big and strong enough to bend over these trees to get at the tender tips, leaves and buds on he top branches. The twigs that broke off were spit out like humans do with fruit or berry stones. When the logger tired to bend these trees he could hardly move them.

Sasquatch researchers have long speculated what these creatures ate, and especially during the winter time in the woods. So far two things were mentioned, Saskatoon berries and alder buds and shoots.

Sighting # 5

This took place around 1980. two men were driving to Kitimat one summer morning. Coming down the airport hill they could see a ground fog over the William Creek flats. This was a 2 mile fairly straight stretch of highway that was built over a swampy area that was part of the north end of Lakelse Lake. The grade or fill here varied between 5 to 6 feet high. As the car came around a slight bend at the bottom of the hill they could see arms waving in the fog ahead of them. Thinking that someone had gone off the road they prepared to stop. Since it was foggy the driver had to get over the white line and right on the shoulder. When the vehicle was still several car lengths away from the figure, the passenger who told me this story saw that it was not human. It was a very tall hair covered human like creature that was standing in the water at the foot of the grade and was facing the highway. When the car came to a stop they were alongside the creature. The creature's head was level with the occupants in the car and about 5 feet away from the passenger. After a brief moment the creature's eyes and mouth opened wide in terror. The head was thrown back and it's arms crossed over the front of it's head as to be warding off a blow from a club. It then turned around and dashed into the swamp, going at times through waist deep holes of water until lost in the fog and leaving two stunned men in the car.

While mulling over this story I measured the eye level height off the road in a similar type of car and it was 4 feet. Since the grade shoulder would have sloped a bit it would have been about 5 feet above the water. The creature was standing in water halfway to it's knees. Adding up each foot of height on my fingers took all ten of them. This was followed up by another visit where two questions were asked. The first was if the creatures face was relatively free of hair as we see on the T.V. shows of the chimps and apes. The reply was that the face was covered with hair much the same as a full beard would be on a man. The next question was, "did you see the dished face of a chimp or ape or was it more human like"? The answer was that I saw a human face. It definitely was not the face of a chimp or ape.

What apparently had happed here was the Sasquatch was feeding on the brush on the road grade as it was standing in the water. The movement of the arms through the fog was the creature reaching out and pulling the bushes towards himself. Like most wild creatures it did not pay much attention to the traffic as they went by at highway speed. However, if you slow down much or stop, then they are gone. You can imagine the creatures surprise when this large object suddenly stopped in front of it.

Sighting # 6

This sighting was from a lady now living in terrace, B.C. in 1985, she was living in the Queen Charlotte Islands in a cabin by the Honna River. One afternoon an acquaintance stopped by to tell her of a strange event he had just witnessed. He had been fly fishing further along the river when a very tame Deer came out of the woods near him to drink from the river. he had stopped his casting to admire the Deer. Suddenly a rock flew out from the trees, striking the Deer and knocking it down. This was immediately followed by a very tall hair covered human like creature who threw the Deer over it's shoulder and dashed back into the woods. Of course this took the pleasure out of further fishing and he didn't want to stick around with the rock chucking ape in the vicinity. This is the first that I heard of the Sasquatch being on these islands. According to this lady, the local native people speak quite openly about them. Now if anyone is curious whether or not this Deer was roasted, just read on.

Sighting # 7

This took place in 1967. Fred arrived in Canada in 1960 along with a flood of German immigrants. In 1967 he was in the Houston area where he had joined an outdoor club. In the fall Fred went hunting because it was a man think to do. This is an urge that harkens back to a dim and distant past where humans had to hunt in order to survive. A favorite place to hunt was on a prospector trail that ran up a mountain in the direction of Kemano in the Bower Lake area. This weekend Fred was only accompanied by a medium sized dog as he was after a young Moose that he could drag back down the trail himself. Halfway up the mountain he ran into a fresh fall of snow a foot deep. Suddenly he was hit with a very strong pungent odor similar to a large decaying carcass. He was up here the weekend before and there was nothing like that here. When he tried to go on, the dog laid down on it's belly blocking his way. When he tried to go around the dog, it crawled forward continuing to block his way.

Fred then climbed up on top of a rock that was beside the trail but he could see nothing ahead. However, he decided to heed the dogs warning and headed back down the mountain much to the dogs relief.

In sighting # 7 Fred had moved to Terrace in 1974. During that summer he visited another German immigrant family with 8 children who were living in an acreage community of Rosswood about 30 miles north of Terrace. There was a houseful of guests that day and the hosts had a strange story to tell. The previous winter had a very heavy snowfall. In March the snow was still 4 feet deep but hard enough to walk on. The snow had melted away from around the smaller jack pine trees to leaving them sitting in holes in the snow. During the Easter school holidays the children saw two hair covered human like creatures about 100 yards behind the house. One was an adult and the other a youngster about half as tall. It was presumed that the larger one was the mother but it kept its back to the whole family who were watching from the back of the house. These two figures were going from one small jack pine to another, picking and eating the needle tips of the branches. Here we have another item on their menu.

Two days later on the afternoon a large passenger airplane without wings, tail or engines, and making no sound, flew very low and slow, following the path that these creatures had taken. In my correspondence with UFO*BC they had mentioned having a number of reports from people who had seen a Sasquatch and a UFO in the same area around the same time. They were wondering if there as some kind of connection between them. It is my feeling that the aliens are every bit as curious about these creatures as we are.

This covers the verbal stories collected so far. The remaining printed stories will be photo copied.

A local moose hunter once mentioned that he could easily have shot a Sasquatch. However, it looked so human like that he didn't dare. Although it would have been a real boom to science, he was concerned that he could be charged with man slaughter if it would be classed as a sub human by these scientists. This question was put to the homicide department of the local R.C.M.P. The reply was that they couldn't answer this question and refered me to the crown prosecutor. His statement was the same as the police, so the next visit was to the game warden. According to him the Sasquatch was not a game animal, so it has nothing to do with his department. If one was shot and declared a sub human, then it would be up to the police and courts to deal with it.

It seems here that the safest thing to do would be to capture one alive. If it turns out to be some form of human, then it could always be turned loose. However, if it realizes that it can just laze around and still be fed, it may not want to leave. If food is put out for a homeless dog or cat, it sticks around.

The next question would be, where doe the Sasquatch fit in to the scheme of things. It appears that this was one of natures experiments in evolution that got stuck in a rut. Anyone that listens to the news and watches the T.V. educational channels will be aware the oldest human bones found go back almost 6 million years. Here we have an upright walking primate that was very good at climbing trees. However, its brain was the same size as the primates that were still walking on their hands as the chimpanzee does today. The chimp branch had forked sometime earlier with each branch then going its own way. With the upright walking primates the hands were now free for other tasks and the brain began to increase in size to accommodate this dexterity. As these hands were used more and became more skillful, the greater the brain increased in size until two distinct species had developed.

Somewhere near the beginning of this separation a third branch had spouted between these two species. This primate also walked upright but it's brain remained chimp size. Here we have half of each main branch, with the body following the upright walking side, and the brain following the side where the primates still walked on their hands, like the chimps do today.

However, it must have had something going for it, for this species also survived along with the other primates including the one that became humans. The Sasquatch is now comparable in size and weight to the gorilla and probably has the same size of brain. In all of natures evolution only the human primates has made it into the stone age and beyond. Humans were the only creatures that made tools and weapons. We are the only ones that used fire for warmth and cooking. The other primates do not even have the intelligence of how to keep a fire going. Humans were the only creature to have a full and written language, and the only creatures that built permanent shelters.

The Sasquatch had none of these and probably didn't even need them. Its heavy fur coat was adequate for all weather. Like our moose it just spent its days roaming the wilderness in search of food. There is no evidence that it even had its own territory as many animals do. It just followed its food supply. When needing to rest any comfortable place would do. A permanent bed was a disadvantage as it would soon have been heavily infested with fleas, lice, mites and tics. As its diet was mostly vegetationit did not have to complete with the more intelligent human primates for the available food supply. The Sasquatch was for the most part a solitary creature that just came together with a female to mate like much of our wildlife. Most of the sightings are of a single creature. It was up to the female to raise the offspring alone. If like humans, it would take a good many years to raise a youngster to where it could look after itself. This would mean a mother could only raise 2 or 3 children in its lifetime which would barely sustain their numbers. This would explain the scarcity of these creatures.

For those who have watched the wildlife do*****entaries on the T.V. educational channels will be struck by the almost human behavior of the chimpanzee. They tend to remind us of our children quarreling. For a long time scientists had thought that the dividing line between human and other creatures was in the use of tools. However, many wildlife pictures do show that the chimps, other animals and even birds will use sticks and rocks as tools in order to obtain food.

With our recent rapid advancement of our genetic research scientists are now saying that the chimpanzee, depending on its species have from 98 to 99.3 per cent of the genes of a human. In fact they are more closely related to humans than they are to the other large apes. Because of this some scientists have started a movement to declare the chimp a sub human with all the protection humans have. The Sasquatch with its upright walking and very human face could fit in between humans and the chimps. Does this mean the Sasquatch is the missing link ? Not likely as all 3 species evolved from an earlier life from around the same time.

After all, in the scientific category humans are classified as a primate or more crudely an ape. Keep this in mind the next time you call someone a big or stupid ape.

Sighting # 8

This report was received after my report had been completed and photo copies made. In the summer of 1988 Dan and his wife visited a friend on Old Lakelse Lake Road past Jackpine Flats. After awhile Dan had to stretch his legs and decided to look at his friends garden which was a little distance behind the house. Midway on the way back on his left was a dense grove of low leaf trees. Suddenly there was movement there and Dan thought he saw what looked like a very large rear end of a moose taking off. Dan, an avid hunter couldn't believe that a moose could be that high . At that moment the owner let out his two small house dogs. Dan hadn't smelled anything but apparently the dogs did. They ran yapping into the dense grove of trees. A few seconds later they came yapping back with high pitched yelps right up to the house and scratches madly at the door to get back into the house.

The owner came out and asked Dan what made the dogs act so strangely. Dan said he didn't know but would take a look around. He couldn't find any moose tracks in the grove of trees. There were a number of large faint impressions in the moss that were still rebounding out. Dan was familiar with the stories of the Sasquatch and suspected that this is what he saw. However, since there was no firm evidence to back him up, he decided to keep quiet rather than face teasing or ridicule. However, this event shows that although the Sasquatch will usually avoid humans, they can occasionally still stumble into their yards. In this area a story of bear and moose in your yard is believeable but a Sasquatch still isn't. It should also be noted in this report and the other information included, the strange reaction of the dogs. These dogs will not hesitate to go after a full grown grizzly, but yet run and hide from a Sasquatch. Do they instinctively know something that we don't ?

Sighting # 9

This took place in 1991 during ate July or early August. Dan and his wife were returning to B.C. from a visit to Ontario. Midnight found them near the Ontario - Manitoba border close to Westhawk Lake. Suddenly ahead of them in the car headlights they saw a large hair covered human like creature running hard across the highway. Dan remembers that the hair on the top of the creatures head was standing upright like a comb or brush. His wife noticed that steam was rising from its shoulder. It was obvious that the creature was in a panic situation and was running from something. Later they heard that others had seen it and it made the news on the local radio stations and the newspapers.

From the above report is proof that the Sasquatch is not confined to the Rockies but can be anywhere, even on the prairies.

Sasquatch Sighting In Houston British Columbia

I was just informed of a frightening Sasquatch encounter which took place only a few miles outside of Houston, British Columbia. Two Houston residents witnessed a large hair covered (animal ?) which they said wasn't a bear or any other normal animal that they new of. matter of fact it scared them enough that when the fellows were telling people of what they saw, the fright was notice in their speech and on the faces. Also photos were taken of some tracks and possibly some other evidence as well. This sighting just took place.

As for the above possible Sasquatch sighting, I am making arrangements to visit the witnesses and am having them take me to the area where the critter was seen.

Also another Sasquatch sighting has taken place outside of Houston, B.C. This sighting of the alleged Sasquatch was at around the 23 kilometer mark on the Morice River road at the Aspen Forestry park, and across the river from the camp. So working on both report, although the Aspen Park sighting did take place a couple of years ago.

I would like to know if it is you or an associate of yours that I would talk to about Sasquatch. Two experiences have been eating away at me for years now. On two occasions I am, without any doubt, sure I have called in Sasquatch while moose hunting.

On the first occasion I communicated with {him?} for about half an hour. Then I finally saw him. On the second occasion, while moose hunting, I unknowingly called him in to within 50 yards of me. Then he tried to imitate my calling. When he became wise to my presence he took off at a speed that a moose would have trouble keeping up to. A short while later I heard him in the timber again. Then I realized that he had been watching me for about an hour earlier in the day.

It would seem logical to assume from the experience that he might have had food or something important in the point of timber where I think he was in originally because that is where he returned to. When my brother went to investigate he realized that there was something going on that he became very uneasy about and backed off out of there.

Recently a very upstanding professional confided in me about sounds that he listened to at his parents cabin on a lake not far from Prince George, this past October/2004. I have always been fascinated with Sasquatch since I first heard of him in the 1950's when I was a young lad. The last three or four years I have been doing a lot of studying on Sasquatch from the giant library of the internet.

I would like to talk to someone who is an authority in Sasquatch investigation work and actually request the privilege to work in this field myself. There is no longer any doubt in my mind that these beings are very much human or about as close as could be. I do not believe that one should be shot or captured to be exploited as a specimen. I think that they deserve to be treated with respect and communicated with in a proper manner.

From my own experiences and what some other people have told me about what they experienced, along with what I have learned, brings me to a great desire to be in the presence of one of these beings to attempt to create a communication link.

If you are not the one for me to be talking to could you please tell me who that would be. I feel a bit uneasy about writing to you about this, but, at 57 years of age I am finding it harder every year to keep this to myself.

Especially because I have such a desire to do something worthwhile with what has been put into my life. Good Lord willing I will still have 20 or 30 years of usefulness ahead of me. Perhaps I could use some of that to benefit the study of our furry friend. I suppose that I could be considered as being self centered in my desire, but I have experienced Sasquatch first hand and need to follow up on that. A fellow that I used to work with experienced a close encounter with Sasquatch and when I asked him if he would take me to where it happened he said that he was so afraid that he will never go back there as long as he lives. This seems to be the reaction of a lot of people. I guess this makes me a bit strange because I want to find one for the intent to communicate.

Anyway I have rambled on long enough. If you or someone else would like to contact me I would appreciate that very much.

Possible Sasquatch Sighting East Of Prince George British Columbia

Brian, Now, for my questionable sighting. About 13 years ago, I was East of Prince George with a friend. Two of my sons, ages 6 and 2 at the time, were asleep in the truck with us as it was after midnight. We had just pulled out of a friend's driveway, turning north. Within 50 to 100 meters, we crested a hill and saw "something" up ahead. Since they were asleep the boys didn't see it but my friend and I did. Whatever it was walked on two feet and had a bulkiness that suggested it to be covered with hair.

We never got close to it, so we never got a really clear look at it but, at the time, we both agreed that it never dropped down to all-fours as it crossed the road (left to right - west to east). As I hit my bright lights and sped up to get a closer look, the truck went into a shallow dip, so we lost sight for a moment. We then crested the next rise. Whatever it was then walked back across the road, again (or still), on two legs. Much later, my friend changed his story. Now he says he thinks he remembers it dropping down onto four legs after it crossed the road.

I honestly don't know what it was. It certainly could have been a grizzly bear, but I don't remember it having a muzzle, and it seems like I remember it swinging it's "arms." It also seems that its legs were longer (and its body shorter) than a grizzly's would have been. I do know that one's mind can play tricks on them. You know, sometimes you see what you expect or want to see, or remember things a little differently than what actually happened. Anyway, I didn't want to be one of those people who doesn't check things out, so, after I passed the spot and didn't see anything, I turned the truck around and went back. When we got close to the spot, I got out and had my friend drive while I walked in front of the truck, looking for evidence by the light of the headlights and a tiny flashlight that I had with me. I admit, considering that it could have been a grizzly, that wasn't the smartest thing I could have done, but you've got to give me more credit for guts than brains. I really wanted to know what it was. I didn't find a single track crossing the road. The road was really hard-packed at the place where "it" crossed. There were moose, coyote, fox, and other tracks that paralleled the road, but nothing crossed it. We went back the next morning and didn't find anything either.

At the time, I did ask some of them (friends) what they thought I could have seen that would have looked like that. Although one of them said a caribou, the rest all thought it was probably a griz. I don't buy the caribou idea at all, as the coloration of a "bou" should have made the back end more visible than the front, not made it look like it was on two legs.

Tim Martindale's Sasquatch Sighting Outside Of Merritt British Columbia

HBCC UFO Research done a interview with Mr. Tim Martindale this evening, June 4, 2005 over a Sasquatch sighting he had. The gentleman was a complete pleasure to talk with and what he saw that day certainly was unforgettable. Matter of fact he soon after started investigating sightings of this animal around his area and to date has received a stack of reports.

The CTV news also went up to visit with him and did a interview for the news hour. Tim also has been active in writing articles for different newspapers which has brought more eyewitnesses to Sasquatch sightings rolling into him. Tim is serious at what he does and looks forward to hearing and investigating these reports of the Sasquatch.

Tim will be sending along some material for me to post, also I will be posting a link to his blog where he is working on adding many of the reports he has received. As soon as I receive the information I will post it straight away.
